From the Magic City to Music City and Beyond
I'm proud to be a Southern girl, born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama where my roots run deep, my business was born and family is everything. When I was growing up, Sundays meant church and southern supper at my grandparents' house, where we gathered around the table, no topic was off limits, and we filled our stomachs with my grandmother's sweet tea, pot roast, fried okra, mashed potatoes and warm homemade banana pudding. Family, work and the food scene keep me running back to my hometown of Birmingham, but I now reside in Franklin, TN where my creative soul continues to be fueled with songwriter nights, music festivals and long drives on peaceful farm roads with the windows down.
I'm always wandering to find inspiration in interesting people, food, films, fashion, homes and design. I've traveled out of the country on assignment to France, London, Nova Scotia, Turks & Caicos and Mexico as well as many beautiful places within the United States to tell my clients' stories with my lens.
Prior to becoming a photographer, I was an Art Director for a magazine publisher, where I learned about brand identity, the value of relationships and the importance of visual storytelling. I bring over 20 years of experience specializing in lifestyle advertising, interiors and portraits, with a strong focus on travel and hospitality. My clients include professional athletes, radio personalities, authors and artists. I have also worked with top retailers, restaurants, advertising agencies, interior designers, contractors, magazine publishers and non-profit organizations. In my spare time I volunteer for Musicians on Call, Saddle Up and Able Voices in the greater Nashville community, teach Pilates in my neighborhood studio, and enjoy spending time with my family and our chocolate lab "Scout".
